The centerpiece, a document-structuring solution built on Anthropic’s AI services, evaluates unstructured project documentation, classifies and tags it, and migrates it into Radial Power’s new CRM platform as governed, searchable records. Radial Power has also developed AI-powered processes to automate quoting and evaluate project data. The deployment is the next phase of Radial Power’s broader effort to apply AI across its core operating processes.
Every project Radial Power develops, owns, and operates generates documentation across its full lifecycle — site control, interconnection, permitting, construction, equipment, financing, and operations. The company manages hundreds of thousands of documents across its solar and storage portfolio. Collectively, that documentation is the operating record of the portfolio, and it holds significant value once it is digitized and accessible for ongoing, company-wide analysis. Radial Power’s goal is to make previously unstructured documentation structured, searchable, and reportable by default.
The solution puts AI to work across three functions:
- Classification: Anthropic’s AI services analyze each document’s content and metadata and assign tags based on where the document originates in the project or asset lifecycle, applying a consistent standard across the entire portfolio.
- Metadata extraction: The solution generates structured metadata — project, business entity, document type, document category, and document version — that turns a stored file into a queryable document record.
- System of record: Classified documents and their metadata are migrated into Radial Power’s CRM and associated with the appropriate projects and business entities, creating tagged, governed, and searchable records that enable reporting that file storage alone cannot support.
The solution has processed tens of thousands of project artifacts to date, eliminating thousands of hours of manual review.
