NEW ROCHELLE, NY, UNITED STATES, September 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Almstead Tree, Shrub & Lawn Care honored 18 employees representing 320 years of combined service to the company and communities in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. This year’s honorees celebrated service milestones ranging from five years to a historic 40-year milestone.

Each year, Almstead recognizes employees who reach service milestones in five-year increments. The awards celebrate the experience, dedication and loyalty of employees who have contributed to the growth and success of the family-owned company.

This year marked a first for Almstead, as Antonio Solorio became the first employee to be recognized for 40 years of service. Solorio joined Almstead at just 17 years old as a member of the ground crew. Over the past four decades, he has advanced through a variety of positions, including tree climber, equipment operator and foreman. Today, he serves as Operations Manager of Almstead’s New Rochelle branch. His career reflects the opportunities for professional growth and advancement that Almstead strives to provide its employees.

“Almstead has been the only company I’ve ever worked for,” said Solorio. “I’ve never wanted to work anywhere else because they have always treated me like family.”

“We are grateful and proud of the long tenures of our employees,” said Ken Almstead, CEO of Almstead Tree, Shrub & Lawn Care. “As a family-owned and operated company, we truly value their contributions to the company and consider our employees part of our extended family.”

“Almstead has always been a place where people can build long and rewarding careers,” said Michael Almstead, Vice President. “These employees helped build the company we are today, and we are proud of the experience, loyalty and leadership they bring to Almstead.”

In addition to Solorio, 17 Almstead employees were recognized with service awards:
5 Years: Matt Camarota, Humberto Camey, Javier Galdamez, Victor Lara, Jose Mejia and Elysa Peper
10 Years: Oscar Winfrey
15 Years: Kevin Andrews, Ender Lopez and Hugo Rosa
20 Years: Kristin Loughlin and Sean Allison
30 Years: Alex Flores, Cesar Martinez, Jose Oliveros and Miguel Perez
35 Years: Freddy Martinez

The awards were presented during Almstead’s annual Summer Picnic, which brought together more than 200 employees and family members for an afternoon of food, activities and celebration. The picnic has been a company tradition for more than three decades and provides an opportunity for employees from Almstead’s offices in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to gather with their families.
