Project Boon distributes backpacks and essential resources through 15 school districts and regional nonprofit organizations
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA, UNITED STATES, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Project Boon’s annual backpack initiative has grown into far more than a school supply drive. Through its backpack event and 210 Corridor distribution efforts, the organization has worked alongside schools, nonprofits, community partners, volunteers, and donors to help prepare thousands of local children and families for the new school year.
This year, Project Boon has distributed backpacks and school supplies through 15 different school districts and regional nonprofit organizations, creating a footprint that stretches as far south as Riverside, east to San Bernardino, and west through communities as far as Claremont.
But the impact extends well beyond backpacks.
Through Project Boon’s partnership with the Riverside school district, the organization helped create a larger community resource event where 300 families received groceries, while children and families also had access to shoes, haircuts, school supplies, and a variety of additional social services.
Project Boon also partnered strategically with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire, providing groceries for 50 families served by the organization, along with backpacks and school supplies for the children they support.
The approach reflects Project Boon’s larger mission: bringing resources directly into communities while working with organizations that already understand and serve the families who need them most.
“This initiative demonstrates what can happen when schools, nonprofits, businesses, donors and volunteers work together toward a common purpose,” said Christopher Suchánek, co-founder and executive director of Project Boon. “The backpack may be what brings us together, but our larger goal is to connect families with meaningful resources and build partnerships that continue serving these communities long after the school year begins.”
Rather than focusing on a single distribution location, the 210 Corridor initiative allowed Project Boon to extend the reach of donated backpacks and supplies through trusted school districts and nonprofit partners throughout the region.
The effort was made possible through the support of community partners and donors, including IEHP, Rauch Fondation, Inland Empire Orkin and Claremont Sunrise Rotary, along with additional organizations, businesses, volunteers, and individual donors whose contributions helped expand this year’s impact.
Project Boon will continue developing partnerships throughout the Inland Empire and greater Los Angeles area to make resources accessible to families where they live, learn, and receive support.
For Project Boon, the backpack may be where the effort begins, but the real objective is strengthening the network of community organizations working together to serve local families.
