Denver, Colorado – May 26, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Kick It 3v3 Soccer is continuing its expansion in North Carolina with a major event in the Greensboro-King area, further strengthening its presence across the state while connecting players to its National Championships in Vail, Colorado, later this summer.
The tournament will take place at Recreation Acres in King, North Carolina, serving players and families throughout the greater Greensboro region and reinforcing Kick It 3v3 Soccer’s growing footprint through multiple events held across the state. The event reflects the organization’s ongoing effort to create more opportunities for players to participate in small-sided soccer while building a stronger regional network.

“We’re excited to continue building in North Carolina with multiple events across different regions,” said Dan Stratford, CEO and Owner of Kick It 3v3 Soccer. “The Greensboro-King area is a great soccer community, and this event helps us expand our reach while connecting players to our National Championships and the broader Kick It network.”
Kick It 3v3 Soccer events are designed to provide a full-day soccer experience that combines competition with accessibility and community engagement. The Greensboro-King event will offer a 3v3 tournament format with a guaranteed four games per team, while also including additional competitions such as 1v1 challenges and 2v2 soccer tennis. Organizers state that both full teams and individual players are welcome to participate, allowing greater flexibility for families and athletes interested in joining the event.
The tournament will be open to participants of all ages and skill levels. Youth divisions will range from U6 through U19, with adult men’s, women’s, and co-ed divisions also available. This broad structure is intended to make the event accessible to players throughout the Greensboro area and neighboring communities while supporting participation across multiple age groups.
Kick It 3v3 Soccer’s small-sided format emphasizes increased touches on the ball, quicker decision-making, and more frequent scoring opportunities than traditional full-sided matches. Supporters of the format often note that it encourages player involvement by creating more opportunities for active participation during games. Organizers say the event is designed to create a fast-paced playing environment while also emphasizing sportsmanship and positive competition.
Participants at the Greensboro-King tournament will compete for medals and sportsmanship recognition. Teams participating in the event can also earn points toward qualification for the Kick It 3v3 National Championships, scheduled to take place in Vail, Colorado, from July 24 through July 26, 2026. The championship event brings together qualifying teams from tournaments held throughout the country and serves as a culminating event for the organization’s annual competition calendar.
“Our goal is to give players consistent opportunities to compete locally while being part of something bigger,” Stratford added. “North Carolina continues to be an important market for us, and we’re committed to building a strong, connected network of events across the state.”
The Greensboro-King event is part of Kick It 3v3 Soccer’s broader strategy to expand through regional clusters of tournaments, an approach intended to improve accessibility for players and support long-term growth in key soccer markets such as North Carolina. By hosting multiple events within a region, the organization aims to create stronger local participation while maintaining connections to larger national competitions.
The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Recreation Acres, located at 107 White Road in King, North Carolina. Organizers say the event is open to youth and adult players, teams, and individuals seeking opportunities to participate in competitive small-sided soccer. Registration is currently open, and additional event information is available through Kick It 3v3 Soccer’s website.
Founded in 1990, Kick It 3v3 Soccer is one of the longest-running grassroots small-sided soccer organizations in North America. The organization hosts tournaments across the United States and internationally, focusing on small-sided gameplay intended to encourage player development and participation for athletes of varying ages and skill levels.
