Gillison, Jr., has been named to The NonProfit Times (NPT) 2026 Power & Influence Top 50 list. He will be honored at the 20th Power & Influence Top 50 Gala, which will take place September 17 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
In recognizing Gillison, The NPT stated: “Gillison modernized the nation’s largest grassroots mental health nonprofit, built cross-sector coalitions and secured investments from donors, including MacKenzie Scott, who gifted $59 million. “I’m honored to be recognized alongside leaders who are tackling some of the most consequential challenges facing our communities,” said Gillison. “The nonprofit sector is at its best when we bring people together, build partnerships across sectors and turn shared purpose into meaningful change. This recognition reflects the extraordinary work of the entire NAMI community, and I’m proud of what we continue to accomplish together.”
With this year’s list, The NPT recognizes the groundbreaking work of nonprofit leaders who overcame considerable headwinds this past year and built coalitions that will “continue to serve their communities, constituents and the nonprofit sector as a whole.”
Gillison was previously honored in 2022 as part of NPT’s 25th annual Power & Influence Top 50 list.
