HOOFDDORP, NL – August 17, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Glaseco B.V. has begun offering window replacement services specifically designed to help homeowners and property owners improve the energy label rating of their buildings. The Hoofddorp-based installation company provides on-site assessments that evaluate existing window conditions and recommend replacement configurations that meet the thermal performance thresholds required for a higher energy label classification.
The energy label system in the Netherlands rates buildings on a scale from A++++ to G based on their overall energy efficiency. New regulations that took effect on May 29, 2026 introduced a redesigned energy label format that displays more detailed information about insulation, installed systems, and carbon dioxide emissions. The updated rules also removed the previous exemption for listed buildings, meaning owners of national and municipal monuments must now obtain an energy label when selling or renting their property. Property owners who sell or rent a home without a valid energy label face fines.
Windows represent one of the largest sources of heat loss in older Dutch buildings. Properties constructed before 1990 frequently retain single-pane or early double-glazed windows that fall well below current thermal performance standards. Replacing these units with modern HR++ or triple-glazed window systems reduces heat transfer through the window opening and directly contributes to an improved energy label rating. The improvement is measurable during the energy performance inspection that determines the label, making window replacement one of the most effective upgrades a property owner can undertake.
The Dutch government’s ISDE subsidy program, administered by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, provides financial support for homeowners who install window frames and glazing that meet published minimum thermal performance requirements. Both HR++ and triple glazing installations qualify for the subsidy when performed by a professional contractor. The subsidy is designed to offset a portion of the installation cost and can be applied for within 24 months of project completion.
Glaseco B.V. conducts a property assessment before recommending a specific frame material or glazing type. The assessment accounts for the age and construction type of the building, the dimensions of existing window openings, current insulation values, ventilation requirements, and any restrictions imposed by municipal heritage conservation guidelines. For buildings located in protected heritage zones, the company evaluates which profiles comply with local regulations while still achieving the thermal performance needed for energy label improvement.
The company offers custom window installations in PVC, aluminium, wood, and steel, with each material selected based on the building type, energy requirements, and architectural characteristics of the property. Glaseco B.V. supplies complete window units sourced from Dutch and German manufacturers, with each project covering measurement, material selection, manufacturing coordination, delivery, professional fitting, and a post-installation inspection to verify that the installed units meet the specified thermal performance values. The company also installs VELUX roof windows, entrance and interior doors, sliding door systems, roller shutters, screen blinds, and facade cladding.
Glaseco B.V. serves homeowners, architects, and commercial property managers across a 50-kilometer radius around Amsterdam. The company handles both individual residential renovation projects and larger-scale commercial installations for offices, multi-unit rental housing, and historic properties requiring coordinated upgrades across multiple units.
